On our way back to Ulaanbaatar after 3 days in Bulgan Province, we passed by Selenge, one of the few regions in Mongolia where fish is abundant because of the Selenge River. Having had meat for weeks, I was excited to see several stalls selling smoked fish by the road. Of course we stopped and I was the first to alight from the vehicle not only to photograph this fish vendor but also to buy myself some fish to bring home to Ulaanbaatar.
